Mission of the Climate Conference Series
The Climate Conference Series is built around one core mission: Empowering Youth for Climate Action. Pakistan is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change, while around 70% of its population is under the age of 30, making youth leadership essential to building a climate-resilient future.
Climate change is no longer only an environmental issue; it is affecting almost every sector of society, including agriculture, food security, water resources, public health, education, employment and livelihoods, mental well-being, disability and accessibility, displacement and migration, poverty, economic growth, infrastructure, energy, biodiversity, ecosystems, cities, disaster risk, population pressures, and overall social stability.
Through provincial conferences and the annual National Climate Conference of Youth in Islamabad, NYCCC aims to bring young people from across Pakistan together to understand these challenges, develop practical solutions, influence policy, and transform youth voices into meaningful climate action.
