Muhammad Umair Khan
CEO (Cheif Executive Officer)
M Umair Mufakir is a passionate climate advocate and the Founder and CEO of the Native Youth Club for Climate Change (NYCCC), Pakistan’s largest youth-led climate organization, engaging over 3,600 young people nationwide. Currently pursuing his MS in Environmental Science, Umair leads key youth-driven climate initiatives. Under his leadership, NYCCC will host the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Pakistan 2025 —an official event of YOUNGO, the youth constituency of the UNFCCC. He has been designated as the Country Contact Point for LCOY 2025 by YOUNGO/UNFCCC. Recognized as one of the world’s youngest global leaders by UN-SDSN, Umair also serves as the youngest board member of CANSA Pakistan and contributes to the LCOY 2025 Policy Reforms Group and UNEP’s Children and Youth Major Group. He represented Pakistan at the International DRR Expo 2024 at the Pak-China Friendship Center. Recently, he was nominated to the NDC 3.0 Young People and Children Technical Working Group (TWG), led by the Ministry of Climate Change and GCISC.
Momal Nawab
Deputy Executive Director
Momal Nawab is a climate activist and policy enthusiast with over three years of experience in climate change advocacy in Pakistan. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, which informs her work on social and environmental justice. Her work focuses on the intersection of climate change, gender, and public policy, with an emphasis on inclusive and youth-led climate action. She was selected as a member of the Youth and Gender Technical Working Group for Pakistan’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) 3.0, led by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination and GCISC, with support from UNICEF Pakistan. Momal continues to contribute to gender-responsive and equitable climate policy processes at national and community levels.
Anwar zeb
Managing Director (MD)
Anwar Zeb Khan serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Native Youth Club for Climate Change (NYCCC), where he plays a key role in organizational coordination, youth engagement and program implementation. Currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature at the International Islamic University Islamabad, Anwar combines strong communication skills with leadership and organizational management. Anwar is also a Career-Prep Fellow at Amal Academy, a Stanford University-funded education startup, where he was selected from a highly competitive pool of over 4,500 applicants. Additionally, he served as a Member of Friends of Police Rawalpindi, contributing to community outreach initiatives that promoted public-police collaboration, civic awareness and social responsibility. Beyond his professional roles, he has also completed an OSHA Safety Diploma, reflecting his commitment to international workplace safety and health standards.
