M. Umair Mufakir, a 26-year-old environmental scholar pursuing his MS in Environmental Studies, is a passionate advocate for climate action and youth empowerment. As the founder and CEO of the Native Youth Club for Climate Change (NYCCC), he has established a nationwide organization dedicated to mobilizing young people in Pakistan to combat climate change. NYCCC, under his visionary leadership, has grown into a dynamic platform with a mission to Empower Youth for Climate Action through education, advocacy, and sustainable initiatives. Umair is also a prolific author, having written a influential books, including “Climate Education for Primary and Secondary Schools.” His work emphasizes the importance of environmental literacy and equipping the next generation with the tools to address pressing climate challenges. Through NYCCC and his writings, Umair continues to inspire and lead the youth of Pakistan towards a greener, more sustainable future. In addition to his climate leadership, Umair is a member of the FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry) Central Executive Standing Committee on Corporate and Business Relations.
