The Native Youth Club for Climate Change (NYCCC) was honoured to welcome Mr. Jamshed M. Kazi, Country Representative of UN Women Pakistan, to the NYCCC National Climate Conference of Youth 2026, held in Islamabad on 22 October 2026.
Mr. Jamshed M. Kazi appreciated NYCCC’s efforts in mobilising young people, promoting climate awareness and providing a national platform for youth-led climate action. He acknowledged the importance of NYCCC’s work in bringing together young climate leaders, policymakers and development partners to advance inclusive and gender-responsive climate initiatives.
Emphasising the importance of evidence-based climate policies, he highlighted the role of gender-disaggregated data in understanding how climate change affects young women and marginalised communities differently, calling for inclusive climate action that leaves no one behind.
The conference also provided a platform to present the National Youth Statement for COP31, amplifying young people’s priorities and advocating for meaningful youth participation in climate decision-making.
Celebrating Youth Leadership: Alishba shared her journey through UN Women’s Youth Climate Action Initiative (YCAI), while Areeba Sajid, representing the Girls Guide movement, highlighted her experience of receiving the Climate Excellence Award, showcasing young women’s contributions to environmental leadership.
NYCCC sincerely appreciates UN Women Pakistan and all collaborating partners for supporting youth leadership, gender equality and inclusive climate action.
Youth voices matter. Gender equality matters. Climate action cannot wait.
