NYCCC Marks Independence Day with Patriotic Spirit and Climate Commitment

Islamabad, August 14, 2025 — The Native Youth Club for Climate Change (NYCCC) commemorated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a spirited celebration at Mehran Gate, F-9 Park, Islamabad. The event, held in collaboration with Pakistan Nazriyati Council and Positive Pakistan, featured a flag-raising ceremony followed by a cake-cutting ceremony.

The program brought together youth volunteers, community members, and partner organizations in a display of unity and national pride. Alongside celebrating the nation’s independence, NYCCC used the occasion to highlight its ongoing commitment to addressing Pakistan’s climate challenges.

“Independence is not only about honoring our past but also about safeguarding our future,” an NYCCC representative noted. “We are determined to combat climate change and work towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier Pakistan for the generations to come.”

The event concluded with renewed pledges to combine patriotism with environmental responsibility, reinforcing the message that a sustainable future is an integral part of the nation’s progress.
